Akinom

Akinom works underground on purpose. Berlin-based, elusive by reputation, she's a rapper, vocalist, drummer, guitarist, and improviser who's as likely to be found rap battling in a Berlin basement as behind a mic in a studio, moving between instruments and disciplines the way most artists stay in one lane. Her introduction to a wider audience came sideways, through a guest vocal on Chimp Hardy's "Space Katz," a track that became a genuine club hit, picked up and reworked by a wide range of producers including K Willy, Billy Idle, Positive Conundrum, davOmakesbeats, and Shero, remixes that helped carry the track further into clubs and playlists worldwide. That record also became the bridge to Jesucio, introduced by Chimp Hardy himself, a connection that led directly to Akinom's feature on IONIC, rapping and singing on "Pearl Drops." She and Jesucio are now working on further collaborations, with new material planned for 2027.
