Biography

Fabian Kalker composes in real time and trusts what happens there. German-French, based in Berlin, and trained in formal composition and guitar, his work moves through instant composition, electronic music, and improvisational practice, drawing as much from science fiction and speculative ways of living together as from music itself. Uncertainty isn't a risk in his process, it's the material. That instinct has carried him onto some of Europe's most demanding stages, scoring for Deutsches Theater Berlin, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Schauspielhaus Hamburg, and Volkstheater, and into rooms built for the opposite of theater's control, Berghain Kantine, Melt Festival, Radialsystem. His discography includes the concept album You Are Part Of My Life (2019, Springstoff) and ambient singles like Lunar Mounting, and his scoring work extends to film, most recently Nichts Bleibt Und Nichts Verschwindet (2026). Kalker has been a longtime musical and production collaborator of Jesucio. Their first release together, Ballad X, arrived on Outburst Intervals in 2024. Their second, "Temper," appears on the IONIC mixtape as part of Future//Films' collaborative dancefloor project.
